Jane Yvonne York

Jane Yvonne York, 88, of West Melbourne, Florida, passed peacefully from this life to eternal life on June 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family at the William Childs Hospice House.

Born on September 22, 1937, in McVeigh, Kentucky, Jane lived a life defined by her passion for teaching, her love of quilting, and most notably, her devout faith in God. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Joseph C. York, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and unyielding love. Their love story now continues beyond this life – two hearts reunited, together again.

Jane’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Janine Flanders and Jennifer Pacyna, her treasured son-in-law, Larry Pacyna, and her cherished grandson, Joseph Pacyna. Jane will be remembered for her big smile and her grand family gatherings.

A celebration of Jane’s life will include calling hours on Wednesday, July 15th from 6 to 8 P.M. at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care at 1001 S. Hickory Street. A church service will be at Melbourne Church of Christ on Thursday, July 16th at 10:30 A.M., immediately followed by burial at Fountainhead Memorial.
