Patricia Irene Bettice

Patricia Irene Bettice, 90, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on April 6, 1936 in Canton, Ohio, she was the eldest daughter of Homer and Marjorie Sheline. She married Gregory Bettice on October 10, 1992 in Massillon, Ohio.

Pat was a 1954 graduate of Canton South High School and a 1957 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing, Canton, Ohio. She worked as an RN in the maternity ward at Mercy Hospital and then spent the majority of her career working in the medical ward of Massillon State Hospital. She retired after serving as a home-based caseworker.

Pat enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing, two common interests shared with Greg. After playing tenor saxophone in high school band and orchestra, she resumed it later in life and performed in Melbourne Municipal Band concerts and in church services. She also volunteered as a reading tutor.

She is survived by daughters Terri, Sherri and son David; grandchildren Joshua, Lydia and Jennifer; son-in-law Fred, brother-in-law Mike, sister-in-law Danine, along with many nephews and nieces. Pat was preceded in death by husband Gregory, sisters Carlotta, Judy, Dona, and grandson Matthew.

Services will be held at Saint Timothy Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m.
