Paul Edward "Froggie" Morissette

Feb 25, 1954 — Aug 29, 2026

Paul Edward “Froggie” Morissette, 72, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on August 29, 2026, at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Paul was born on February 25, 1954, in Leominster, Massachusetts, to Rene and Dorothy Morissette. He was the fifth of six children and grew up alongside his siblings, Jeannine, Philip, Louise, Helen, and Kathy. When Paul was two years old, his family relocated to Melbourne, Florida, a place he would always consider home.

Paul graduated from Melbourne High School in 1973, where he excelled in both baseball and gymnastics. Growing up along Florida’s Space Coast, Paul also developed a lifelong love of surfing. He spent countless hours catching waves and enjoying the ocean, a passion that became an important part of his younger years and remained a meaningful part of who he was.

Following graduation, Paul enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a Combat Medic and Morse Code Operator. His military assignments included Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington, and Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. During his service, he also worked at Tripler Army Medical Center and continued his passion for baseball by playing for the Army and later coaching his children.

After completing his military service, Paul worked in civil service as a rigger at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. While living in Hawaii, he met the love of his life, Sherri. They married in 1983 and built a life together, welcoming three children: Stryder in 1984, Miles in 1987, and Nicolani in 2001.

Paul spent much of his career in the trucking industry, driving everything from cement trucks to big rigs and hauling motorcycles to Sturgis and building materials to Burning Man. Eventually, he founded his own trucking company, Froggies Long Board Express, where he proudly served as owner and operator. His strong work ethic and determination were evident in everything he did, and he took great pride in providing for his family.

A lifelong Catholic, Paul attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church during his youth. Later in life, he returned to Mass and continued to deepen his faith, finding comfort and strength in his relationship with God.

In his later years, Paul returned to Melbourne, where he enjoyed spending time with his dogs, riding motorcycles, visiting the beach, and gathering with friends. He maintained friendships dating back to his childhood, a reflection of the lasting relationships he built throughout his life.

Paul will be remembered for his strong work ethic, stubborn determination, generous spirit, and unmistakable sense of humor. He lived life on his own terms, loved deeply, and remained

fiercely loyal to those he cared about. His adventurous spirit, memorable stories, and the many friendships he formed will continue to be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Rene and Dorothy Morissette; his brother, Philip; and his sisters, Louise, Helen, and Kathy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherri; his children, Stryder, Miles, and Nicolani; and his sister, Jeannine Moyles, and her husband, Joe. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness, loyalty, and friendship.
