Agueda Jacinta Sanchez
May 18, 1929 — Jun 19, 2026
With heavy hearts and wonderful memories, we announce the peaceful passing of our Queen, beloved matriarch Agueda Sanchez, on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the age of 97.
Born on May 18, 1929, in El Guano, Dominican Republic, she lived a remarkable life marked by resilience, faith, and unconditional love for her family. She was married at the age of 19. In 1967, she made the courageous decision to leave her husband and children at home while she faced the challenges of being a working immigrant in New York City and began a legacy for generations to come.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She was known to care for all of God’s creation with warmth and generosity—neighbors, animals, and gardens alike.
In her final days, she was surrounded by the love of her family. We find comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father and in the company of the many she once mourned.
She is survived by seven of her loving children, 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who will cherish her memory forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas, four children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, whom she now holds in her arms for the first time.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to the compassionate caregivers, nurses, physicians, and hospice staff whose kindness and gentle care brought comfort during the final stretch of her journey.
Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and remembering a woman whose love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, at 1 P.M. at Our Lady of Grace, located at 300 Malabar Rd. NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905.
To honor Águeda’s legacy of compassion, hope, faith, and hospitality, plant a tree, nurture a garden, or extend kindness to someone who is new or in need. May these living acts continue the goodness she shared with the world.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Immigrant Connection Space Coast. Please use Zelle and email [email protected].
Remember to specify that this is for Agueda’s Legacy. ❤️
