Deborah Ann Hass
December 11, 1959 — April 28, 2026
Obituary For Deborah Ann Hass lived life from December 1959 through April 2026.
Deborah Ann Hass, 66, a resident of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, at Palm Bay Hospital. She was embraced by her family and her faith in her last days, and was at peace.
Born December 11th, 1959, in Palmer, Massachusetts, in Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of Theresa Rose Walsh, born in Medford, Massachusetts, and Eugene William Roy, born in Newburgh, New York. Deb lived in Highland Falls and Poughkeepsie, New York, when she was young and moved to Georgia in her teens, where she spent most of her life. She loved the change of seasons in New York and the mountains in Georgia.
Debbie graduated from Cross Keys High School in Dunwoody, Georgia, and started her career spanning many years in the Pet industry as a buyer and then as a successful salesperson in the Beauty industry. Many of her co-workers and peers tell great stories of always having fun and productive times with Deb. She also supported her husband’s company for many years, assisting with customer service, trade shows, orders, inventory management, and bookkeeping. Deb loved working and contributing; she was a real people person, smart, funny, and witty, and loved engaging with her partners, clients, and customers. She was loved and well respected by everyone who knew her.
In 1993, Debbie moved to Texas. She married the love of her life, Irwin Hass, on Saturday, October 17th, 1998, in Kennesaw, Georgia, and they celebrated 34 wonderful years together.
Debbie fiercely loved and was proud of her family, and especially her stepsons Brett and Christopher.
Deb was predeceased by her beloved mother, Theresa, a strong, fierce, and independent woman who raised her and her brother as a single mom. Also predeceased by her father, Eugene Roy, brother Eugene Roy, and her best friend, Shari Crane, her beloved “daddy Fred” Fred Potts Jr., and Aunt Maggie Potts.
She is survived by her husband Irwin Hass, stepsons Brett Allen Hass, age 36, and Christopher Michael Hass, age 34, 3 beautiful grandchildren, Layton, age 11, Lakely, age 8, and Luca, age 5; her half-sister, Charlie, and half-brothers, Pokey and Tater Roy. Her brother-in-law Ronnie Hass, Sister-in-law Bridgette, Nephew William and Niece Stephanie, Sister-in-law Michelle, Bother-in-law Joe; Niece Amanda, Niece Rachelle, Sister in law Barbara Roy, Uncle Albert Roy, Aunt Cathy Roy, Step-Aunt Diann Potts, cousins Fred Potts, Laura Potts-Sprague (husband Michael), Alan Potts (wife Jane), Greg Potts (wife Brenda), Sharon Potts, and 12 second cousins.
Debbie was a beautiful and talented woman whose presence always filled the room as she entered, always at the heart of family gatherings, so full of fun, energy, and love. She enjoyed needlepoint, collecting Thomas Kinkade art, playing games at family gatherings, shopping for shoes, and always getting just the right gift, no matter the occasion. She was very generous with her time, talents, and treasure, and donated to many organizations that she held dear. She was a woman of strong faith who sustained and strengthened her at all times and was steadfast in her belief in the hereafter. She will be deeply missed and joyfully remembered for how she made people feel. Her warmth and presence immediately engaged and put you at ease. She was calm, caring, comforting, generous, and welcoming at all times. You were always happy and thankful to be in her company.
