James Morris, age 66, passed away on July 29, 2026. He was born on October 9, 1959, in Michigan to Sharon and James Morris. James was a father, loving partner, brother, uncle, and friend, whose kindness, strength, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. He believed in working hard, treating people with respect, and always doing the best job he could. Those who knew him remember his quiet determination, his willingness to help others, and the genuine friendships he built throughout his life.
James devoted his career to the auto body repair industry, where he spent many years perfecting his craft. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his skill, attention to detail, and dedication. During his career, he worked for Gator and later Mike Erdman in Florida, earning the respect of co-workers and customers alike. Outside of work, James had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. Riding brought him a sense of freedom and adventure, and he treasured the friendships and memories he made along the way. He was known for his easygoing nature, warm smile, and sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with those he loved and will be remembered for his loyalty, generosity, and caring heart. James shared 25 wonderful years with his loving partner, Leslie Wright. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. He is survived by his son, Dwayne Morris of Michigan; his daughter, Jamie Morris of Florida; his loving partner of 25 years, Leslie Wright; his brother, Frank Morris of Michigan; his sister, Joan Cooley of Iowa; and is also lovingly remembered by Rachel Wright, Ryan Wright, and Randa Wright. He is further survived by beloved grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews on his side of the family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the lives he touched will never be forgotten.
