Joseph "Joe" Warketine

Joe was very proud of his military service in the U.S. Army, where he served in Gartow, Germany, along the Russian border, where he intercepted Russian messages and decoded them. He spoke both Russian and German.
Joe was a brilliantly smart and amazing man; the most genuine, honest, and nice man I’ve ever met. He lived these qualities every day of his life.

I am so grateful to God that we found each other and shared 53 amazing years together. We weathered many tragedies together, and we were a team that nothing but death could break.

We always did everything together. God made us one, and now we’ve been cut in half. I am bleeding with the pain of missing him for the rest of my life here on earth. I know he’s with God and his family that preceded him to Heaven and is waiting for me to join him so we can be whole again.

Joe is survived by his wife, Karen Ann; son Brian Christopher (Kerry) and granddaughter Allison Taylor.

Viewing from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Rd. SE Palm Bay, Florida; followed by a burial at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, Florida.
