Kenneth Lamont Hawkins II

January 18, 1998 — April 24, 2026

Kenneth Lamont Hawkins II, 28, of Hampton, Virginia, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity that touched everyone who knew him.

Kenneth was born on January 18, 1998, in Hampton, Virginia. He graduated from Heritage High School, where he began to shape the strong, independent spirit that would define his life.

Kenneth lived life on his own terms—choosing his own path and embracing it fully. He was known for his social and outgoing nature—someone who could talk for hours in meaningful one-on-one conversations, making people feel heard, valued, and understood. At the same time, he cherished his quiet moments, enjoying time alone wheeling around, listening to music, and simply relaxing in his own space.

Kenneth was partially deaf, yet he never allowed that to limit him. He developed a remarkable ability to read lips, connecting with others in his own way and showing resilience and adaptability in everyday life.

He had a deep love for music, good food, and spending time with others. He also enjoyed watching cartoons, especially Ren & Stimpy and Tom and Jerry, which brought him laughter and comfort. Kenneth took pride in his self-created yard care work in his neighborhood, showing his strong work ethic and determination. He was self-sufficient and capable of so much more than many expected, always finding ways to stand on his own.

Kenneth had a strong-willed nature and could be stubborn at times, but that same determination was part of what made him who he was. He was curious about the world and known for asking a million questions, always wanting to understand more and stay engaged. He also had a unique way of seeing life—often content in his own world, finding peace and comfort in the things he loved.

Kenneth especially loved the holidays and found joy in giving whatever he could. He also found happiness in the little, unexpected things people did for him—those small acts of love meant so much and brought him genuine joy. His happiness came from making others smile, and his generous spirit will forever be remembered.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Kizzy Scott; his father, Kenneth Hawkins Sr.; his brother, Javon Scott; his sister, Kiarra Scott; his uncles, Darius, Eric, Kieth, and Brandon; and his grandparents, Michael McLennon and Jerry Scott.

Services will be held at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 950 Malabar RD SE, Palm Bay, Florida, on May 6, 2026. Viewing will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A repast will follow immediately after the viewing and service.

Though his time here was short, Kenneth’s life was filled with love, connection, and purpose. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
