Kevin Morris "Agent Morris"

Mar 9, 1971 — Oct 10, 2026

Kevin Sean Morris, 55, was known to many as Agent Morris, but to those who loved him most, he was husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, coach, and, most proudly of all, Popo. To his children’s friends, he was affectionately known as Big Kev. He leaves behind a legacy of service, deep faith, and a love for his family that knew no bounds.

Kevin’s life was shaped by the people he loved, the promises he kept, and the quiet, steadfast way he showed up whenever someone needed him. He was a man of strong convictions, a calm presence, and a deeply passionate heart. He was the person people called when something needed fixing, when life became difficult, or when they simply needed someone in their corner. No matter the sacrifice, Kevin found a way.

Kevin met the love of his life, Denice Morris, when they were just 15 years old. What began as a young love story between a Publix bag boy and a cashier grew into the kind of lifelong love people dream about. They were soulmates in every sense of the word. After 36 years of marriage, their story was still unfolding, with so many more memories, quiet moments, laughter, and years of love meant to be shared. Their relationship became the foundation of their family.

As a husband, father, and grandfather, Kevin was guided by his faith in Christ and his commitment to living with integrity. His faith was not simply something he believed; it was something he lived. As a pastor, he devoted himself to serving God and others, carrying his faith into the way he led, loved, and cared for the people around him. He understood the importance of being a husband, a father, and a man of faith, and he led his family by example.

As a father to Courtney, Logan, and Joel, Kevin was unwavering. Whether he was standing beside them on their wedding days, cheering from the sidelines at a sporting event, or dropping everything because they needed him, he was there. He was their problem-solver, source of wisdom, and steady place to turn. He supported his children in every way he could, never needing a special occasion or a reason beyond the fact that they were his children. His love was constant, dependable, and unconditional.

And if Kevin did not already know how to do something, there was always what he called “YouTube University.” He could figure out nearly anything, and if he could not, he was determined to learn. That persistence was simply part of who he was.

Yet no title brought Kevin more joy than Popo. His grandchildren, Skyler, 14, Aria, 12, and Emmarie, 1, whom he lovingly called Primetime, 1/2 Pint, and Nugget, were among the greatest joys of his life. Whether he was baking with them in the kitchen, sharing simple moments that became treasured memories, or simply being their Popo, he loved them with his whole heart. They will carry pieces of him through the stories they hear, the traditions they continue, and the love their family shares.

Kevin had a gift for making ordinary days feel special. He might sit down at the piano and sing simply because the moment felt right. He was a gifted baker, and the kitchen was a place where he could share his love in a way that brought people together. And if there was a plain bagel nearby, everyone knew Kevin would claim it. These small, familiar details made him unmistakably himself.

His care for his family also appeared in quiet ways. Every night, he checked their locations to make sure everyone had made it home safely. It was a simple ritual that revealed how deeply he cared, even when he was not physically beside them. Protecting his family was never something he turned off at the end of the day. It was simply part of who he was.

That same commitment to helping others extended far beyond his home. Kevin began his career with the Palm Bay Police Department in 2001. Between his service with the Palm Bay Police Department and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin also served as a coach and educator, investing in others and helping shape the lives of those around him. His impact reached beyond the badge, touching the lives of young people and families through his willingness to teach, guide, and lead. He later continued his law enforcement career with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in 2021. His work was more than a profession; it was a calling and a commitment to helping others and keeping his community safe.

Outside of law enforcement, Kevin pursued real estate, where he worked to help middle-class families. He cared about the future, the opportunities available to ordinary people, and the world the next generation would inherit. He was passionate about politics and the future of children, always willing to stand up for what he believed was right.

Kevin was fiercely loyal. He was the person who would drop everything to help, no matter the inconvenience or the cost to himself. He did not need recognition for the things he did for others. He simply believed that when someone needed you, you showed up. That was how he loved, how he lived, and how he served.

Kevin’s life was taken far too soon in the line of duty while answering someone else’s call for help. A man who spent his life serving others became the one his family, friends, and community were left to mourn. The loss is immeasurable, and no words can fully express the heartbreak of losing a husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend in this way.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Denice; his daughters, Courtney and Logan; his son, Joel; his cherished grandchildren, Skyler, Aria, and Emmarie; his mother, Joyce Morris; his sister, Ronda; and the many extended family members and loved ones whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.

Though his life ended far too soon, his impact will continue. His children will carry his lessons. His grandchildren will hear his stories. His wife will forever hold the memories of the boy she met at 15 and the man she spent 41 years loving and building a life with. His family will remember the music, the baking, the bagels, the late-night check-ins, and the countless ways he made life better for those around him.

The badge may have been how the world knew him, but his family knew the man behind it: the husband who loved his wife, the father who always showed up, the grandfather whose favorite title was Popo, the pastor who served through his faith, the coach and educator who invested in others, and the man who gave his whole heart to his family.

Kevin Morris lived with conviction, served with purpose, led with faith, and loved without hesitation. His time here was not nearly long enough, but the love he gave will outlive the years he was given.

Rest easy, Agent Morris. You spent your life making sure everyone else made it home. Now, the people who loved you most will carry you home in their hearts for the rest of their lives.

You will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
