Kimie Gorday aka Kimie Makiya Honore

Kimie Gorday (aka Kimie Makiya Honore'), 78, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026 and left behind beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Born on October 27, 1947, Kimie was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to her loved ones. She was also known for being very stern and having no filter; she spoke her mind freely and without hesitation. Kimie worked as a seamstress alongside close friends, making clothing apparel, knitted scarves, and sweaters. In her free time, she enjoyed bingo, gardening, and sculpting ornaments, creating wire bonsai trees, suncatchers, and beaded jewelry. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and loved having her grandchildren visit often.

Kimie is survived by her children, Jerry Honore’ and Ilisa Honore’; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by 1 sister, 1 brother, a niece, and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo Gorday.
