In Loving Memory of Paul Douglas Basham

Paul Douglas Basham, 83, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2026. He was born on November 15, 1942, in Lashmeet, West Virginia.

Paul was a hardworking man who spent more than 30 years in the automotive industry. He took pride in his work and continued working later in life as a maintenance manager at Walmart. He was the kind of person who believed in working hard, taking care of what needed to be done, and providing for the people he loved.

But more than anything, Paul loved his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jean, and a loving father to his son, Steven, and daughters, Christina, Sheri, and Shannon. His family meant everything to him, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren, Sydney, AJ, and Devin, and his great-grandson, Zayne. He also had a special place in his heart for his daughter-in-law, Nikki, and his beloved granddog, Otis.

Paul didn't need much to be happy. He enjoyed the everyday things in life, especially sitting back and watching the birds and squirrels he loved to feed. He was a devoted Florida Gators and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and could always be counted on to cheer for his teams.

Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandson, extended family, and friends. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was loved deeply and whose place in his family's hearts can never be filled.

His family will remember him not only for the life he lived, but for the memories they made with him, the love he gave them, and the moments—both big and small—that they will carry with them forever.

Rest peacefully, Paul. You will be loved and missed always.
