Scott Jan Huebner
Dec 13, 1947 — Oct 16, 2026
Scott Jan Huebner, 78, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away at home on October 16, 2026, fulfilling his wish to spend his final days in the place he called home.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 13, 1947, Scott approached life with a fun-loving spirit and a positive outlook—“always with a song in his heart,” as he liked to say.
Scott began his career as a factory-trained General Motors mechanic and later worked with computers. Much of his life was devoted to caring for his beloved wife, Pamela. They married on December 23, 1967, and shared nearly 53 years together before her passing on October 19, 2020.
A true “Mr. Fix-It,” Scott could repair just about anything. He had a clever, inventive mind and was known for making gadgets and modifying everyday things to work just the way he wanted. If something didn’t fit his needs, he’d find a way to rig it up—and make it work.
Scott was generous with his time, his talents, and his heart, always willing to lend a hand. He shared a special friendship with his neighbor, Lalena Burns, who became a true best friend and a cherished part of his life.
He loved playing his guitar and spending time on his flight simulator. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
Scott is survived by his daughter, Tammy Reideler, and her husband, Pete; his sister, Cathy Failla, and her husband, Joey; his nieces, Kelly Grove and Laura Bryan; and his nephew, Sean Peaslee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela; his son, Michael Huebner; his sister, Donna; his mother, Ruth Carlson; and his father, Joseph Huebner.
In keeping with Scott’s wishes, there will be no formal service. His ashes will be scattered together with those of his beloved wife, Pamela, in a forest, honoring his wish for them to be together once more. Those wishing to honor his memory may make a donation to Blood Cancer United in lieu of flowers.
He will be remembered with love—and always with a song in his heart.
