Eleanor K. Moore

Eleanor K. Moore, 86, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 1, 1939, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where she was born, raised, and lived for many years. After marrying her beloved husband, John B. Moore, Eleanor moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she made her home for the remainder of her life.Eleanor was a woman of deep faith and was an active member and elder of Garden Crest Presbyterian Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she especially enjoyed reading her Bible. She was also a talented and creative homemaker who found joy in cooking, crafts, and, most of all, spending time with her family and granddaughter.Known for her generous heart and loving, kind nature, Eleanor had a way of making those around her feel cared for and loved. Her family was the center of her world, and the memories she created with them will be treasured always.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Moore; her parents, Michael and Ann Kurtaneck; her brother, Gary Kurtaneck; and her sisters, Betty Freeman, Helen Zadorazny, Nancy Bianco, and Doris Weimer, and her daughter Rebecca's life partner for 30 years, Dr. Soman Nadhan.

She is survived by her daughters, Jade Suggs and her fiancé, David Palmer; Rebecca Moore, and Amy (Ryan) Lynch. She leaves behind her granddaughter, Leah Lynch, her sister, Eileen Charley, and Asia Palmer, her daughter's soon-to-be stepdaughter. She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends who were blessed by her kindness and generosity. Eleanor leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, family, and kindness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Eleanor was laid to rest with her husband, John, at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida on August 25, 2026.
