Susan Masters

Jul 3, 1950 — Sep 19, 2026

From the comfort of her home, surrounded by her beloved family, Susan Alma Masters, age 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Susan was born on July 3, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the age of seven, she moved to Florida with her parents and grandparents, where she developed a lifelong love of an active lifestyle. She enjoyed water parks, swimming, beach walks, kayaking, racquetball, and tennis.

Susan was a wise woman, a great listener, fun-loving, and witty. She loved nature, especially birds, and had a special appreciation for Florida storms. She embraced thrills, adventure, and the beauty of the world around her.

Once her children were in school, Susan enjoyed careers in nursing and physical education, as well as owning and operating her own business.

Susan loved the Lord Jesus and was an active member of Calvary Chapel. Her greatest desire was to be with God, and she is now at peace in His presence.

Susan was preceded in death by her loving husband Marion Neal Masters, her father, Clarence P. Burger; her mother, Alma A. Burger; and her two younger sisters, Joyce Lindsay and Cindy Boone.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Riviera, and her son-in-law, Edward Riviera; her daughter, Rebecca Morgan; her grandchildren, John, Madison, Joshua, Eden, and Gabriel; and her great-grandson, Beckham.

As Jesus said in John 11:25–26:

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’”

Susan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
