Dimitra Kosmakos

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Dr. Demi Kosmakos, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 18, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family. 

Born on September 24, 1988, in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Demi lived a life defined by faith, compassion, adventure, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. She was a devoted mother, beloved daughter, cherished sister, treasured family member, and loyal friend whose warmth, generosity, strength, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless lives. 

Dr. Demi graduated from Towson High School in 2006 before attending Towson University, where she studied Sociology and Anthropology. Always curious about the world, she embraced every opportunity for adventure, traveling extensively and experiencing different cultures with an open heart and a passion for life. 

Her journey eventually led her to Florida, where she discovered her true calling in holistic healing. Through dedication and perseverance, she became an Acupuncture Physician and Doctor of Natural Medicine, devoting her life to helping others find healing, hope, and wellness. Her patients knew her not only as an exceptional physician but as a compassionate soul who genuinely cared for every person she met. 

Of all the accomplishments in her remarkable life, none brought her greater joy or pride than becoming a mother. Her beloved son, Panayioti, was the greatest blessing of her life, and she loved him with every fiber of her being. Everything she did was inspired by the love she had for him.

Above all, Dr. Demi was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her through every season of life, giving her strength, peace, and purpose. She lived with grace, loved without condition, and trusted wholeheartedly in God's plan. 

Dr. Demi is lovingly survived by her cherished son, Panayioti; her son's father, Andreas; her devoted mother, Stavroula; her loving and protective brother, Giannis, and his wife, Morganne; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Petros, whose memory she carried in her heart every day. In accordance with her final wishes, Dr. Demi will be returned to her beloved homeland of Greece, where she will be laid to rest beside her father, reunited with him in eternal peace. 

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we are comforted by the countless memories she leaves behind and by the love that will continue to live on through her son, her family, and everyone blessed to have known her. Her legacy of faith, compassion, courage, and selfless love will continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.

The Kosmakos family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, kindness, and support during this difficult time. Your compassion has brought comfort as we remeber Dr. Demi's extraordinary life and honor her final wish.
