Florence L. Glasure

Glasure, Florence L., 80, of St. Petersburg, died Monday May 19, 2003 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Florence grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. She graduated from William and Margy College and later from Duke Unitversity Nursing School. She moved to St. Petersburg in 1952 from Durham, North Carolina. She was very active in volunteer work at her church and was involved with Westminster Palms Senior Activity program. She was married for 23 years to Dr. Alton Glasure, pastor emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg. She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Voyles Gonzalez and son, Carl Michael Voyles, both of Windermere, Florida; two step-daughters, Myra Glasure Weaver of Austin, Texas and Nancy Glasure Lammers of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and eight grandchildren.
