Gholamali "Ali" Naghitorabi
May 15, 1955 — Feb 16, 2015
Born in Ahvaz, Iran in May of 1955, Ali Naghitorabi died peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, in St. Petersburg, Florida on February 16, 2015.
Ali was the best son, brother, husband, father, and friend, thoughtfully and mindfully taking care of everyone around him.
A Physical Therapist Assistant, he was a gifted healer, pairing kind, witty encouragement with sharp clinical skills and discernment. The many cards and letters of thanks he received from patients over the years are a comfort to his family in their loss.
He thrived on spirited competition, organizing tournaments of chess, tennis, card games, and ping pong with family and friends, and he artfully conveyed his sense of humor in multiple languages. A riser to occasion, he loved planning magic tricks and honing his karaoke skills for parties.
Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Hajj Abdulrahim and Hajj Fahtemehsultan, and his two eldest brothers, Hajj Majid and Hajj AbdeMahmad, Ali is survived by his devoted family: wife, Cathy; son, Donovan; daughter, Christy; and son-in-law, Marc Richfield; as well as two sisters, four brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
