Jasper John Rimi

Rimi, Jasper John "Jabby" of Clearwater, FL passed away on 10/26/26 at the age of 87 while in hospice care. Born on 7/4/39 in Brooklyn,NY raising 3 children in Brooklyn/Queens with wife Dolores until they moved to FL in 1979 and settled in St.Petersburg in 1986, they divorced in 1990 after 32yrs of marriage. He was with his significant other Cathy Schafter for over 30yrs. Jasper is survived by his sons Louis Rimi (Debra), John A.Rimi and daughter Dolores Stabile (Vincent); grandchildren Christopher Rimi-Maguire (Matt), Matthew Rimi-Von Barton(Geoff), Nicholas Stabile (Jodi), Stephanie Lightfield (Adam); great-grandchildren Carter,Edyn,Gavin,Jahn,Yaniyah and Ziyier Lightfield; Millie-Dee &Geoffrey Rimi-Von Barton. He enjoyed collecting stamps,coins,war memorabilia and ivory over the years. He had served in the US Army reserves and worked for the NYC Sanitation Dept. 

Jasper's memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th, 2026 from 4-7 p.m.at Anderson-McQueen FH 2201 Dr.MLK Jr.St. N. St.Pete,FL 33704. Jasper's burial-interment will be held on Thursday, November 12th, 2026 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (family only). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or some other organization that helps our service members. Thank you!
