Joann E. Botthof

Botthof, JoAnn E. 75, of Tampa passed away on Friday May 22, 2015. Born in Bryan, Texas October 19, 1939, JoAnn moved to Delray Beach with her family at a young age. She graduated from Seacrest High School in 1957. Following high school, she graduated from the University of Florida in 1961 where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in English Literature. JoAnn was actively involved in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. JoAnn was a passionate and dedicated educator. She taught English and Algebra at Palmetto High School and St. Joseph Catholic School in Bradenton. She also lived in Ft. Myers and Naples before moving to Tampa to be close to her children. JoAnn is survived by her loving daughters, Kathryn Pemble of St. Petersburg, Stacy Kynes of Tampa; her son-in-law, John Kynes; and grandchildren, Laura Pemble, Abigail Kynes, and Andrew Kynes. A Funeral Mass celebrating JoAnn's life will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 28 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 11207 Blue Heron Blvd. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33716 or Christ the King Catholic Church at 821 S.
