Mariann Droblyen

Mariann Droblyen, age 80, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away at her residence on November 21, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Tom Droblyen; her parents, William Dunkler and Pauline Gajdos; and her siblings, Eleanor and Rudy.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Droblyen (Patrick Mallon), her son, Eric Droblyen (Kelly McHugh) and her two sister-in-laws, Joan Bailey and Dee Bailey She leaves behind a cherished community including her nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her dear neighbors and chosen family in St. Petersburg: Loriann, Ashley, Stephanie, Devon, Donna, Quinn, Ben, and Caleb.

Born and raised in Copley, Ohio, Mariann was a skilled designer and artist who partnered with her husband to renovate and restore numerous homes. A lifelong master gardener, her talents earned her numerous City of Akron beautification awards and a featured garden at Bungalowfest in Historic Kenwood. She was known for her radiant smile, gentle sense of humor, and generously kind spirit.

A memorial service for Mariann will be held in Copley, Ohio, in the summer of 2026.
