Maurice Washington Jones

Maurice W. “Mo” Jones, 76, of St. Petersburg, Fl. passed away May 3, 2026 at his home after a long illness. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD., he graduated from Patterson High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Irene Jones, many siblings, and his dear friend, Bill.

 Maurice is survived by his three brothers, Kenny(Pat), Billy (Kathleen), and Russell(Bernadette); and many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

 Mo was a very independent and loving individual. His family meant everything to him. Mo was a devoted employee of Home Depot for 29 years having to retire earlier than expected. He loved giving everyone joy at Christmas by playing Santa Claus in his red suit. His smile and charming spirit will be remembered by all that knew him. Mo will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery after receiving full military honors for his service in the U.S. Navy. The Honors Ceremony wil be Friday, May 29, 2026 at 1:30 pm.
