William "Cliff" O'Neal

William “Cliff” O’Neal, 86, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed peacefully on Friday, September 12th 2025. Born on April 7th, 1939 at Mound Park Hospital in St. Pete to Howard and Cliffie O’Neal. He attended St. Petersburg High School where he ran track. Cliff married Marilyn LeVecchio on July 20th, 1963. They were married for 46 years before her passing in 2009. Cliff enlisted with the United States Marine Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was there during the 1964 Summer Olympics and was able to attend the games. Cliff had two careers. The first was at Marine Railings (Marailco) as plant manager. After retiring from Marailco he became manager of his longtime friend Wain’s retail store, Wain Roberts Firearms in Pinellas Park. An avid shooter and gun enthusiast Cliff spent any free time at the gun range, hunting or working on guns in his workshop.
Cliff is survived by his son, Bill O’Neal and daughter-in-law, Linda O’Neal of St. Petersburg. Cousins Jack Critz, John Critz, Lisa Critz and Carolyn & Russ Nail. Brother-in-law Anthony LeVecchio and his wife Donna. Niece Lauren Torti, her husband Brian and their kids Mason and Aiden. Nephew Brett LeVecchio, his wife Bonnie and their kids Harper and Sawyer.
Cliff was fortunate to have many wonderful lifelong friends. Some of those friends include Roger & Pat Doyle, Toby & BJ Brenner, Curtis & Virginia Harvey, Larry & Elise Enos, Ed & Leah Allen, Keith & Mary Reynolds.
Funeral Services will be held at Anderson McQueen at 2201 Dr. MLK Street N. in
St. Petersburg on Wednesday, October 1st.
Visitation: 10:00-11:00am
Funeral Service: 11:00-12:00pm
Reception: 12:00-2:00pm
Burial: 2:30pm
