William C Sanders

William C. Sanders, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on September 26, 1939, in Chattanooga, TN, Bill later made his home in Seminole, Florida.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his wife, Bonita Sanders; his daughters, Lynda Sanders and Veronica Anderson; his son, Michael Anderson and his wife, Belinda. He leaves behind cherished memories with his grandchildren: Cullen Babcock and his wife, Miranda; Cody Babcock and his wife, Kayla; Michael Anderson Jr. and Samantha; and Joshua Daniels and his wife, Christian, along with 15 great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Bill had a passion for golf, racquetball, and softball. A devoted fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Rays, he enjoyed working in his yard alongside the company of his beloved dogs, Tony and Simon.

Bill successfully built a career as an Insurance Salesman in Chattanooga, TN. He proudly served for two decades at the St. Petersburg Police Department, retiring in 1989 as Detective Sergeant of Homicide. His commitment to law enforcement was underscored by his academic achievement as a Magna Cum Laude graduate from St. Leo College.

In honor of Bill’s love for animals, donations can be made to Fluff Animal Rescue, 7400 67th Terrace North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781. Services will be held on September 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Anderson McQueen.

Bill’s legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
