Jan 30, 1937 — Apr 22, 2016

Reverend Agnes C. Sallet von Tannenberg, 79, formerly of Westford, MA, died peacefully in her home in Tucson, AZ on April 22, 2016. Agnes was born in Cologne, Germany on January 30, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Gisela Bertrand and Gottfried Meyer. Agnes lived through the war in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1958. Agnes is survived by her 7 children, Marion and her partner Etienne of Tucson, AZ; Daniel and his wife Julie of Ayer MA; Tina of Phoenix, AZ; David and his wife Pam of Stratham, NH; Peter and his wife Lynne of Westford, MA; John-Paul and his wife Jennifer of Amherst, NH, and Marguerite and her partner James of Tucson, AZ, their families, many grandchildren and her ex-husband, Herbert. She also remained “mom” to two AFS exchange students; Carlo of Italy and Serelina (Cee-Lee) of Hawaii. She was a long-time friend and caretaker of Rev. Paul R. Franz, who preceded her in death in 2015. Agnes’ faith remained the source of her strength throughout her life, and was ordained as a minister in the Universal Brotherhood. Her desire to help others was evident in many ways, from being a nationally registered EMT, to becoming a certified instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotherapists (NGH) and a registered Reiki Master Teacher. For many years, she was active teaching and serving as a leader in the NGH Massachusetts Chapter and was one of the founding members of IACT (International Association of Counselors and Therapists). She also served as the regional representative for the Association of Research and Enlightenment (ARE) and facilitated numerous courses including Edgar Cayce’s A Search for God as well as A Course in Miracles. Agnes founded the Institute of Holistic Healing International as well as the Universal Sharing and Caring Center. She has authored two books and was working on a third when she passed away. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, friend, teacher and minister to family as well as many friends all over the world. A blessed soul and mentor for many, as her light and wisdom continues to move forth amongst the circles of those who loved her. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 11AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (8650 N Shannon Rd. Tucson, AZ 85742). A reception will immediately follow. A second memorial service is planned for later in the summer in Massachusetts.
