Albert F. Araiza, 75, of Tucson, AZ passed away peacefully in his home on May 13, 2025. Albert was born to Arsenio and Inez Araiza. He was a devoted husband to Carol for 26 years. He was a loving father to Eliza (Stephen) Aguirre, Ariana Araiza; stepfather to Russell (Jackie) Kafka, Colin (Sandra) Kafka, and Tricia Kafka and a doting grandfather to Stevie Aguirre, Antonio Aguirre, Ivan Araiza, Emily Marsh, Jasper Kafka, and Khaila Kafka.

He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his sister Jessie A. Orozco, and his beloved Mattie.

Albert was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter gunner from 1969 to 1971. In 1971 he received an honorable discharge along with the following accommodations: Army Accommodation Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

For 35 years, the open road held a special place in his heart. He valued the freedom and independence of his profession. Every mile driven was a testament to his passion. The highways became his second home, a place where he truly felt alive. His career was more than just a job, it was a way of life he embraced whole heartedly. He felt pride in concluding his career driving for the NASA Educational Program.

Albert’s warm presence filled every room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to encounter him. A supportive and loving husband and father, he provided unwavering guidance and strength to his family. His big personality and charismatic nature drew people in, making connections effortlessly. Laughter followed him wherever he went, a testament to his infectious humor and joyful spirit. He WILL be deeply missed, cherished forever in the hearts of those who love him.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at Adair Funeral Home, 1050 North Dodge Blvd. Tucson Az. on June 21, 2025 @ 10:00 AM.
