Anna Maria Houchin

Anna Maria Houchin was born on May 16, 1947 to Henry G. & Carmen Villegas. She was the 2nd born of 5 children. Sadly, Anna passed away on Feb 3, 2025 after a long battle with health problems.

Anna leaves behind her loving & loyal husband of 58 years, Donald Ray Houchin; her sons David (Julie) and Gary (Virginia); her grandchildren Luke, Caden, Conner (Riley) Houchin, Joey, Alexis, Alana & Marissa; and great grandson Christopher Houchin. She is survived by her brothers Henry (Maria) Villegas & Rick (Gloria) Villegas and her sisters Becky Molina and Isabel (George) Sites. She also leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews and too many great-nieces & nephews, cousins and friends to count. 

Anyone who knew Anna knew she was a firecracker as fiery as her red head days. She would describe herself as quiet and shy but those who were close to her know that couldn’t be further from the truth. When she entered a room, she didn’t just walk in --- she burst in, like a whirlwind. She would sweep into a room determined to not sit on the sidelines because she wanted to be in the mix at all times and to take all from life that she could. She did not want to be left out of anything. To Anna, the family was everything, and she wanted to be part of every moment.

Please join us for the final ‘mix’ with Anna at her funeral services, which were made possible by many generous hearts who helped with donations to her funeral fund. We appreciate you all more than words can express. Without you, this final farewell would not be possible.

Funeral Services are planned for Wednesday, February 26th. Viewing & prayers will start at Angel Valley Funeral Home at 9am. Mass will follow at St. Odelias Catholic Church at 11am with burial at Holy Hope Cemetery at Noon. Reception for family & friends will be announced at the cemetery.
