Arthur & Colette Welton
d. Feb 18, 2019
Arthur passed away peacefully in the morning on Thursday February 7th, 2019. Eleven days later his true love and beautiful wife Colette joined him in the afternoon on Monday February 18th, 2019.
Arthur, known as Art, was born in Plymouth Connecticut to parents Raymond and Doris Welton on December 19th, 1931. He enlisted in the US Navy January 3, 1951 and served for over three years during the Korean War on a ship.
Colette was born in Van Buren Maine to parents Lucien and Alphena Daigle on March 31, 1933. She grew up on a farm and helped raise her brothers and sisters. She served as a nun for about two years before she decided she wanted kids and a family. Shortly after she met Art and they have never been separated since.
Art and Colette got married June 28, 1958 and recently celebrated 60 years. Together they raised five children, Art, Ed (deceased 2006), Craig, Irene, and Kim. Art retired from Hughes Aircraft as a sheet metal worker. He was a hardworking man who always made sure his family was well taken care of. Colette was a hardworking and amazing housewife. She loved taking care of her family and enjoyed cooking homemade meals for everyone. Together they enjoyed dancing, gardening, family gatherings, camping, and trips to visit family on the east coast. Colette would have the biggest smile while playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
They loved each other dearly and they will be missed by many.
