Barbara Sherman

Barbara Ann Sullivan Sherman, 75, formerly of Tell, Tx, passed peacefully at her home in Sahuarita, AZ, in the presence of her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 27, 2018, in the Joe E. Jones Memorial Chapel and Childress Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Barbara was born in Bowie, TX on February 7, 1943. She graduated from Bowie HS in 1961. She enjoyed living the country life at her home in Tell, TX and moved to Sahuartia, AZ in 2016 after the death of her husband. Barbara loved gardening and working in her yard, as well as numerous crafts, including woodworking and sewing. She looked forward to family gatherings and was an excellent cook. Barbara was devoted to her family and always had a sense of adventure. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, and love of life. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents JL and Edna Sullivan, her husband CD Sherman, brothers James Lee Sullivan and Jerry Wayne Sullivan, and sister Betty Gail Shoemaker. Barbara is survived by her children Debbie Reynolds and Tami Auger of Albuquerque, NM; Tammy Hawkins and Jenn Kite of Sahuarita ,AZ; Robert (Bobby) and Loretta Reynolds of Brenham, TX; Trent Sherman of Rhome, TX; Tracy and Belinda Sherman of Decatur, TX; Tim and Melissa Sherman of Decatur, TX; Deke and Carla Sherman of Amarillo, TX; sister Beverly Cripps and husband Steve of Oxnard, CA, sister Irene Henry and husband Keith of Wichita Falls, TX, brother Jr. Sullivan and wife Carmen of Childress, TX, her grandchildren, Heath, Halie, Hanna, Lindsey, Leah, Anna, Nathan, Matt, Krystal, Devin and Caitlyn and their families, as well as 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
