Hortensia Valenzuela

Hortensia(Tencha) Y. Valenzuela was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Saturday February 11, 2012. Born on August 27, 1923 in Tucson, AZ. Preceded in death by sons Johnny and Franciso Lopez, Mother Angelita, and her brothers and sisters. Survived by grandchildren Rudy Lopez, Francisco Lopez (Melva), and Elaine Everson. 8 great grand children and 2 great- great grand children. She leaves behind many Nephews and Nieces who loved her dearly. Tencha was employed at the Del Rio Ballroom for many years. Those of you who knew her know Music was her spirits calling. Her sparkling eyes and beautiful smile always made one feel welcomed. One thing I will forever remember about Tencha is that she always said “Hay que perdonar” “We Must Forgive” Tencha’s departure leaves a big void in our hearts, but I know, along with the rest of the family that we will meet up with her again.
