James Arthur Berkel

Feb 6, 1955 — Aug 4, 2026

With deep reverence and heartfelt remembrance, we mark the passing of James Arthur Berkel, whose gentle spirit departed this life on August 4, 2026. Born on February 6, 1955, James’s time among us was a testament to quiet dignity, steadfast affection, and thoughtful presence.

The narrative of James’s life is woven with moments of warmth shared and the subtle, enduring influence he had upon all who knew him. His days were marked by a quiet assurance and a devotion to those he loved, qualities that illuminated the years he spent as a beloved member of his family.

James is survived by his devoted nieces, Lisa Kim Morgan, Dana B Sanfiorenzo-Cadena, each of whom carry forward treasured memories and the echoes of his steady encouragement. His legacy also continues through his great niece and nephew, Claire and Sergio and through Michael Morgan, the spouse of his caring niece, Lisa and Gerald Cadena the spouse of his caring niece, Dana. Their collective grief is accompanied by gratitude for the guidance, laughter, and unwavering support James given them.

He was a dedicated veteran, an amazing sharp shooter and a connoisseur of Stocks and Bonds. Although we do not recount here all the chapters and accomplishments of James's journey, his life’s meaning is most notably reflected in the love and respect of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility, and an unspoken strength that resonated in his every deed and word.

In this time of farewell, those who mourn James recall not only the man he was, but the enduring imprint he has left within their hearts—a legacy far more lasting than days or titles. His memory shall be cherished, and his presence will continue to inspire those who were honored to know him. He dedicated his time to caring for his mother when it was needed of him.

Though the world now feels a little less illuminated, James Arthur Berkel’s enduring spirit lives on—carried gently by those who survive him, remembered with affection and gratitude.
