Jeanette Conner

Nov 21, 1935 — Aug 14, 2011

Jeanette W. Conner (1935-2011) was born in French Camp, MS and lived in Mississippi, Illinois and Nebraska before settling in Tucson in 1983. She is survived by brother Thomas White, sister Joy Love, three children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The second of three children born to Dibrell and Mildred White, she traveled the country as her father worked on pipeline projects for H.C. Price Co. Jeanette was an artist, reader, gardener and world-class cook. She strived to support the people around her and in seventy five years and until her last day, never compromised her principles or allowed her love for her friends and family to diminish. She had lost her southern accent but not her southern touch. At all times and in all kinds of weather she held her grace, class and charm to the standard befitting that of a Southern Lady. She was soft when it was required and tough when she had to be. They don't make mothers like her anymore. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2011 from 2-5 p.m. at Angelica's - 5225 E. Speedway Blvd.
