Manuel Romero

Manuel Romero III Born June 19, 1951 in El Paso, TX. And was a resident of South Tucson for 39 years. He passed peacefully August 9, 2017. He was survived by his wife, Elva Irene of 46 years and six children, Eduardo (Adrian), Monica (Ramon), Manuel V. (Silvia), Gisela (Gilbert) and Linda Jessie (Benji); 15 grandchildren, two great-grandsons and preceded in death by two great-granddaughters. Manny mentored many at risk youth at Project Yes, Pima Prevention Partnership, Sin Puertas Program and High School. He also worked programs like Defy and South Tucson Explorers. He was a devoted family man and a great friend and mentor to many. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2017 at Angel Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery
