Marisa Carbajal
May 17, 1977 — Aug 4, 2017
Marisa Luz Carbajal
Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. Marisa was born in Tucson, Arizona on May 17, 1977 and left us too soon on August 4, 2017. Marisa was a proud graduate of Tucson High School. Marisa lived her life with a carefree spirit that was admired by all. She attracted people of all ages, with her feisty and magnetic personality. Her sense of humor and energy made her the life of the party.
Marisa absolutely valued and loved her family and friends. She was a great listener, but also quick to offer her advice. If anyone needed her help, she was always there. Marisa was very fortunate to travel all over the world, especially to her favorite vacation spot, Cancun, Mexico.
Marisa will be tremendously missed by all. She leaves an immense void in all our lives, but we find comfort that she and Dad are together in heaven.
Marisa is preceded in death by her father, Ignacio B. Carbajal and survived by her mother, Elva; sisters, Arlene (Kevin Alexander) and Rona; niece, Bryanna Calvillo; nephews, Frankie Calvillo, Jr., Carder Alexander, and Reilan Alexander; great-nephew, Frankie E. Calvillo.
A rosary and mass will be held in honor of Marisa on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 12:30 p.m., at Santa Cruz Catholic Church located at 1220 S. 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85713. Inurnment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., located at 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705. In her honor, please remember to wear a “pop of color,” as Marisa would say.
