Steven Mock
Feb 17, 1964 — Mar 20, 2017
Steven James Mock ( February 17, 1964 - March 20, 2017) passed into the Sacred Heart of the Lord. Steven will be remembered for his outgoing personality, love of the outdoors, wit and sense of humor. The sixth of ten children, he grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, traveled the world, explored the wilderness regions of the great Northwest and retired to the deserts of Southwestern Arizona.
Preceded in death by parents who loved him dearly, Donald Joseph Mock and Helen Marie Mock, he is survived by five sisters, four brothers, dozens of cousins, many lifelong friends, dear neighbors and twenty-seven beloved nieces and nephews; all of whom agree that the Lord took him too soon. Steven's noble heart carried him through many trials and tribulations, but his concern for others and willingness to lend a hand leaves an indelible mark upon all that loved him. A father figure and mentor to his nephews, Albert Charles and Nicholas James. Godfather to his nephew DJ, a source of great pride and joy.
A celebration of Steven's life will be held at Santa Cruz Catholic Church on Friday, March 31st, at 11:00 in the morning. Burial will be in Holy Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to a charity of choice.
