Little Wings
By Stephanie Elise Martinez
A prayer of Strength for a better way
Anything but to let you go
Desperate cries begging you to stay
We said we’d watch our kids grow
Best friends forever, but more than that
Sisters, a bond unbreakable
it’s selfish of me to wish you back
But to say goodbye is unthinkable
I can’t imagine this life from here
Without your smile, your laugh, without you near
For you, so you’re in no more pain
I’ll let you fly, I’ll set you free
And though life will never be the same
Know that you will always be a part of me
Stretch those wings Trish, and soar…
Trisha will be remembered for the beautiful young woman we all loved. She was full of kindness, intelligence, and an unforgettable sense of humor. A talented artist, her gentle and caring spirit lives on in all of us. Beloved daughter, granddaughter, little sister, niece, mother, fiancé, auntie, and friend, she presents an unfillable void in all our lives…
