William Gertson

William Leroy Gertson William L. Gertson passed away June 21, 2015 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Havre, Montana on February 22, 1935. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Betty, two sons, one foster son, five grandchildren, on one great granddaughter. Brothers Richard (Karen) in Spokane, Washington, James in Enville, Tennessee, and Harvey (Valerie) in Olympia, Washington. He had a long and wonderful career with the Railroad working for the Great Northern, Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern Railroads where he was a Clerk, Fireman, Brakeman and Conductor. He truly loved the railroad and retired after 42 years of riding the rail in 1994. He was a member of the UTU. No services will be held at his request and he will be cremated.
