Ysidra Moreno

Ysidra Shelah Moreno, 94, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Blue Island, Illinois on May 15, 1923. She was the daughter of Ynes and Maria Vela. She has been married for 72 years to Ysidro Moreno. Ysidra was an amazing cook and was a partner with her husband in creating the successful El Charro Restaurant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She did everything in her life with grace. She adored flowers and had a passion for interior decorating and making her house a welcoming home. Her greatest joy was being around her family. She is the glue that holds them all together. She is survived by her loving husband, Ysidro, daughters Mary Ann (Marc) Wells, Teresa (Mike) Barcley, Rachel (Jeff) Dawdy, Andrea (Patrick) Crowson, and sons, Ynes (Victoria) and Antonio. She was preceded in death by her son David (Belinda). Sister Casimira, brothers Joseph and Rich. She has 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. In her later years she was in the loving care of her granddaughters Jasmine (Ismael) Barba and Alisha (Elliott) Roland who considered her their second mother. She will live always in the hearts of her entire family. Please join us in celebrating her long life. May she rest in peace. Visitation will be held in the chapel of Angel Valley Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be said at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Concluding service and interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
