Charlotte Anne Sacks

March 9, 1931 – August 23, 2026

Charlotte Anne Sacks, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 95.

Charlotte was born March 9, 1931, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Gertrude Pinion, the youngest of five daughters. She grew up in Marshfield, was valedictorian of her high school class, graduated from college with a nursing degree and spent her professional life caring for others. For the final 25 years of her career, she served as a hospice nurse.

Charlotte was deeply devoted to her family and to her Catholic faith. She directed several choirs and shared her love of music by playing the flute, piano, and viola. Her faith, music, and commitment to caring for others were enduring parts of who she was.

She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of seven children and their spouses: Vince (Dawn), Mark (Ruth), John Christopher (Christine), Paul (Mamiko), Peter (Cindy), Alex (Donna), and Genevieve (Richard); 28 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, along with countless friends. She was generous with her love throughout her life; likewise, her children surrounded her with love through her final days; her daughter Genny was at her side when she passed.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husbands, Hans Ackermann, and Joseph Sacks.

She will be deeply missed.
