Dianne Eleanor Price
Oct 10, 1942 — Jan 3, 2026
Dianne Eleanor Price was born on October 10, 1942, and passed away on January 3, 2026. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and lived for a time in Poland, Ohio, before returning to Michigan, then eventually settling in Colorado. On September 7, 1963, she married Zig Price and were together for 63 years until the time of her death.
In 1971, she and Zig, along with their four-year-old son Jeff, moved to Wheat Ridge, Colorado. They lived in Wheat Ridge and Golden before finally moving to Arvada, Colorado. She loved the state and took advantage of its many offerings. She loved talking with friends and family, connecting with every neighbor around her home. She had a great sense of humor and was known to sneak in a zinger or two when you were least expecting it. She loved pets and always had dogs, cats, or both around the house.
While in Michigan, she notably worked for the Ford Motor Company test drive division, a job in which she took a lot of pride. After moving to Colorado, she worked at Denver International Raceway (dragstrip). She loved racing, football, baseball and golf, spending many years in the early 1970s participating in car rallies. She could throw a mean fastball (or beanball if you weren’t paying attention) and frequently spent time teaching her son how to pitch when he was in little league. Later, she took up golf and became one of the most consistent ball strikers on the course, much to the frustration of her playing partners.
Most of her career was spent as one of the top, in-demand real estate closers in the Denver metro area. She also worked as a real estate agent and broker and eventually moved into relocation services. Her favorite saying when times got tough was, “how do you know if you’re up if you’re never down?”
She is survived by her husband Zig; her sister Lynda Scarfe; brother Mike Parnacott; her son Jeff; her daughter-in-law Jen; and her three beloved grandchildren, Austin, Alex, and Ashton Price.
After retiring from the workforce, she spent her years babysitting her grandchildren and playing golf until she was no longer physically able to do so.
She passed away peacefully and free of pain at Collier Hospice after a long battle with renal failure.
