Jasmine Marie Walters

July 19th 1981 - April 21st 2026

Jasmine was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and shortly thereafter moved with her family to Jackson, Wyoming. During her years in Jackson, she lived in a log home, learned to ski alongside her parents, and spent countless hours playing with her beloved Springer Spaniel, Maggie. These early years were filled with outdoor adventure, a deep love of animals, and close family bonds that shaped who she would become.

In 1986, Jasmine moved to Beaver Creek, Arizona, where she attended Beaver Creek Elementary School. She was well regarded by her teachers as exceptionally smart and bright, with a curious mind, engaging personality, and a wonderful sense of humor. These qualities stayed with her throughout her life. During this time, she developed a strong interest in local Sonoran Indian ruins and petroglyphs, completing a detailed and memorable school project on the subject.

In 1992, Jasmine and her younger sister, Whitney, relocated to Broomfield, Colorado. Jasmine continued her passion for swimming, spending many dedicated hours at the local pool. The family later moved to Arvada, Colorado, where Jasmine attended Arvada West High School. She was friendly, quick‑witted, and well liked, forming many close friendships. While in high school, she participated in a German language program that allowed her to travel to several European countries, experiences that became a source of lifelong memories and stories.

Throughout her teenage years and beyond, Jasmine worked in her parents’ Subway restaurants, where she gained valuable experience in food service and developed strong management and leadership skills. She graduated from Arvada West High School in 1999 and went on to attend the University of Colorado Boulder in 2000. In 2005, she earned her bachelor's degree in History.

Following college, Jasmine applied her professional experience to managing a hotel restaurant, where she handled scheduling and daily operations. She later held positions with TruGreen and a concrete company, further expanding her skills and work experience.

Jasmine was known for her intelligence, creativity, and compassion. She had a great sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her, loved animals deeply, and maintained many meaningful friendships throughout her life. She was also gifted in the arts and was a talented artist, particularly known for her ability as a skilled and creative drawer. She also shared a special bond with her beloved cat, 2Putt, who was a constant companion during her final years.

Jasmine is survived by her parents, Rod and Becky Walters; her sister, Whitney Hookham, and brother‑in‑law Scot Hookham of Castle Rock, Colorado; her partner, Robert Beaudette; and her five nieces and nephews: Lily, Aiden, Jayden, Holly, and Rosalie along with her kitty 2Putt. She is also survived by her great‑grandmother, Dixie Swingle of Riverton, Wyoming; her uncle Rick Walters and aunt Kim Walters; her aunt Joyce Hachen and uncle Dan Hachen; and her cousins Katie, Kayla, McKenna, Kristin, Ryan, Tanaya, and Adam.

She was preceded in death by her aunt Re Ann Walters; her grandparents Hank and Reva Walters, and Walt Weber; and her great‑grandparents Thelma Weber, Henry and Vie Lewis, and Henry and Edna Walters.

No services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
