Anthony Wilbur Francescato

Jun 11, 1952 — Aug 7, 2026

Anthony Wilbur Francescato was born on June 11, 1952, to Ardith and Wilbur in Casper, Wyoming. The family moved to Golden, Colorado when Tony was ten years old and Tony’s fun-loving, mischievous, kind-hearted character was evident from an early age. Tony graduated from Wheat Ridge High School, where he was a wrestler and met friends that would last a lifetime and shape much of who he would become. Tony attended Mesa State University where he continued to wrestle and majored in business, fanning the flames of his entrepreneurial spirit.

After graduation, Tony would stay in Grand Junction and open Tony’s Pizza Express where he would eventually meet Jane and move to Arvada with Max and Muffie.Tony sold insurance for more than 40 years, gaining friends across the Western US and ensuring he knew someone wherever he went.

Tony loved golf, the Denver Broncos, his family, the dogs, good food, travel and making things. Spending time with Tony guaranteed a good time, great stories and probably a little bit of trouble.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dee, and his wife Jane. He is survived by his children Max (Andrea), Muffie (Sharon), grandchildren Riley, Cooper, Jackson and Georgia, and his sisters Jan (Joe), Kay (Les), Lori and other beloved extended family members.

Tony’s family would like to thank the many relatives and friends who were like family to Tony for all of the support and love over the years.
