David Quintana
October 20, 1951 – July 20, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Quintana, who left us on July 20, 2026, at the age of 74. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, David was the beloved son of Odelia and Benny Quintana.
David found love again when he married Lauraine Quintana in 2002, creating a joyful partnership filled with laughter and happiness.
He took immense pride in his children: son David Quintana (spouse Kelly), daughter Stephanie Quintana , stepdaughter Pam Gabarron (spouse Dan), and stepson Richard Dinwiddie (spouse Michele). His family legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren: Dayana, Cody, Heather, Dan Jr., and Connor, along with five great-grandchildren and even three great-great-grandchildren.
David is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Thomas Quintana (spouse Brenda), and sister, Diana McCarl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odelia and Benny, his wonderful brother-in-law, Dave (McCarl), and his beautiful niece, Crystal Quintana.
David’s early years saw him working diligently in construction throughout Colorado, where he honed his skills and built not only structures but also lifelong friendships. Later, he took over the family upholstery business, where his craftsmanship continued to be a testament to his work ethic and love for tradition.
For 34 years, David was a dedicated member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, where he held numerous offices, including Governor at the Denver Chapter. His contributions to the organization were impactful, and he was nominated for the prestigious Pilgrim Degree of Merit, an honor he was unable to receive in life but undoubtedly earned in spirit.
David’s infectious humor and readiness with a joke made him the life of any gathering, always lifting spirits and spreading joy. He loved fishing, camping, and spending time amidst the serene beauty of the mountains. And he was a passionate fan of the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Rockies, often found cheering them on with eagerness and loyalty.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Life Care of Westminster and Elevation Hospice of Colorado. Their exceptional care and kindness provided comfort and dignity during David's final years, for which the family will be eternally grateful.
A memorial service will be held for David at the Denver Moose Lodge #21, 4688 W Alameda Ave, Denver, CO 80219 on October 18, 2026 from 2 to 6pm.
