Mildred Byers Verheyden

July 22, 1930 — June 10, 2026

Mildred “Millie” Verheyden, 95, died on June 10,2026 of natural causes.

Millie was the daughter of James and Evelyn (Walsh) Byers from Askeaton, Wisconsin. Millie was born July 22,1930 and was a graduate of Wrightstown High School class of1949.

Millie raised 3 children and was a dedicated homemaker. She also worked out of the home as a CNA for Hospice for many years. Millie felt very compassionate for people who needed care. She loved reading, especially biographies. When she was losing her sight, she transitioned to audio books, which she loved. She also genuinely enjoyed dining out, picking a different restaurant every week. And of course, she was such a great Packer fan, having attended the Ice Bowl and many other “freezing” games. Millie loved her music, especially classic country. One of her favorite songs was Delta Dawn and that was the last song she heard before her passing. Millie had a great sense of humor, making everyone around her laugh. She could put anyone at ease with her humorous conversations.

Millie moved to Denver, Colorado in 1999 to be near her daughter Diane where she enjoyed life to the fullest. She is also survived by a daughter, Julie

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl and sons Gary and Mark.

Per her request, there will be no services.
