Geraldine "Geri" L. Lind
Mar 29, 1944 — Oct 14, 2026
Geraldine “Geri” Lind, age 82, passed away with family at her side after a brief battle with lung cancer on October 14, 2026, at her beloved home in Cromwell, Minnesota. Geri was born in Yakima, Washington, on March 29, 1944, to Robert and LaReta (Campbell) Lockling. She grew up in Cloquet on a hobby animal farm, and worked at the Chief Theatre, graduating from Cloquet High School. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Kenneth Lind on July 3rd, 2008, where they settled in Cromwell.
Geri was a true “Jill of all trades”, working many different careers. She worked many years at the Old Fashion Country Inn as a waitress, where customers turned into lifelong friends. She then worked for Stearns in Carlton as a seamstress, for which she was very proud of. Geri was always finding herself working, officially retiring only weeks before her passing. Her final and favorite position was working maintenance at the Cromwell Self Serve, where she was always keeping tabs on “second son”, Lance Line.
Geri loved to shop, especially for others, always picking out the best items, clothes, and gifts. She loved sewing and crafting, making her own children’s clothes and donating dresses to those who need them in Africa and other countries around the world. One of Geri’s passions was making homemade quilts at Christmas for her family and friends.
Geri is preceded in death by her loving husband; special companion dogs, Little Puppy and Faith; siblings, Robert Jr. and Harold Lockling. She is survived by her daughter, Lea Pfisthner, with grandchildren Kara Youngberg and Brady (Kayla) Youngberg; her son, Trent (Haley) Pfisthner with grandchildren Austin (Olivia), Kyle, Taylah, Caleigh, and Addison; her daughter, Kim Walli, with grandchild, Alyssa (Joseph “Joe”) Markon; beloved friends, Judy Line, Linda Priem, Rocky and Sue Youngberg; siblings, Scott and Vicki Lockling.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell, Minnesota. Interment will be at Wright Public Cemetery following the service. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet, Minnesota. Geri’s family extends special thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness. They also sincerely thank her daughter-in-law, Haley, and granddaughter, Addison, whose care and companionship during the last few months allowed Geri to remain in her beloved home.
