Jeffrey "Jeff" Dean Kletscher, age 63, of Floodwood, MN, passed away August 24, 2026, after a serious illness surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Hope Lutheran Church in Floodwood, MN, at 3 PM, with a luncheon to follow. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will be held on September 12, 2026, at 2 PM at Vesta Cemetery in Vesta, MN. A Time of Remembrance at St. John's Church will follow along with a luncheon. 

Jeff was born June 30, 1963, the oldest son of Harold & Marilyn Kletscher. He grew up in Vesta, MN, and was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vesta. He graduated from Wabasso High School in 1981 and from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1985. Jeff was a High School Math & Computer teacher for 17 years. 

After his high school teaching career, Jeff operated a real estate business in the area named Northland Woods-n-Water Realty. Jeff was an active member of the Floodwood community and surrounding area. He served as Floodwood's mayor for 16 years and as a councilman for 10 years. He was most recently a current and active member of the Northwoods Credit Union Board and the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency. He received special recognition from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Division of Enforcement for his service in teaching youth firearm and ATV safety course for over 25 years.

Jeff was a dedicated member of Hope Lutheran Church in Floodwood where he served in various roles. He was currently the church administrator taking care of many of the day-to-day operations. When not busy with his daily jobs, he enjoyed holidays with family, Minnesota Golden Gophers Football and ATV adventures.

Jeff is survived by his sister Dawn Tietz of Morgan, brother Tim (Susie) Kletscher of Benson, sister-in-law, Erin Kletscher of Vesta, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded into death by his parents, Harold & Marilyn, brother Randy, and his brother-in-law, Richard Tietz.
