David Burrier

David Keith Burrier, a resident of Brevard County since 1982, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011. David was born in Chateauroux, France in 1956, but was a resident of Florida for most of his life. He completed his Masters degree in deaf education from Ball State University in Indiana in 1980, and began a career as a teacher for the Brevard County Public School system shortly thereafter. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, David spent many years directing the handbell choirs at First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach, Palm Bay United Methodist Church, and Faith "Viera" Lutheran Church, and participated as a choir member and solo vocalist at these churches and Hope Lutheran Church. He is survived by sons, Kyle and Mark Burrier; Kathy Burrier, his closest friend and the mother of his children; and his sister, Janine Burrier. A memorial service celebrating David's life will be held on Friday, December 2 at 5:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 2955 Pineda Plaza Way, Melbourne, Florida.
