Howard Miller

Howard Gene Miller passed away on July 1st, 2017 at Wuesthoff Medical Center in Rockledge, Florida. Interment with military honors will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida on Wednesday July 19th, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Howard was born in Huddy, Kentucky on January 24th, 1942. He graduated from Williamson High School in Williamson, West Virginia in 1960 and moved to Cocoa, Florida that same year. He volunteered and served in the US Army from 1964 to 1965 and received an Honorable Discharge. Howard then worked at Kennedy Space Center for General Electric as an electrical technician during the Apollo moon landings of the late 1960s. Through the use of his GI Bill benefits he’d earned during his time in the US Army, he would go on to earn an Associate of Science degree in Environmental Control Engineering Technology from Brevard Community College in 1971. Howard would go on to spend the majority of his working years as a very successful Salesman. He won several awards from multiple employers over the years in recognition of his incredible sales skills. Most importantly, and I’m sure he would agree ... Howard was a wonderful father who instilled a deep sense of morals and decency into the minds and hearts of his children. He was also one of the greatest conversationalists who ever lived and could keep you talking for hours on end ... and those hours felt like minutes. Howard was a Christian through and through who spent untold hours studying the Holy Bible during his lifetime. I know he is looking down and watching over us all with that wonderful smile on his face. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. We will always remember him. We love you Dad.
