Lillian Thelma Skinner

Lillian Thelma Bunch Skinner passed away September 24, 2019 surrounded by loving family and friends at the young age of 79. Lillian was a member of the Melbourne Ward of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lillian was born in Lake City but moved to Jacksonville, FL as a child. She attended Fletcher High School in Jacksonville Beach, FL. In 1965 she moved her family to the Central Florida area where she worked for Pan American, GE and CSR, having over 40+ years on the Eastern Test Range. She is preceded in death by her parents Abraham Knight and Louise Lessie Hunter, brother Irvin, and the love of her life Alexander W. Skinner. Lillian is survived by her siblings Ann DuBose, Mac (Janie), Betty (Wayne) Huber and Nancy (Tom) Laws, her children Barry Leigh (Karen) and Barbie Lynne, grandchildren Kacie, Steven, Rachel and Natalie, along with her great grandchildren Stevie, Katherine, Kennedy, and her nieces and nephews whom she thought of as her own grandchildren. Lillian (aka GeeGee, Grandma, Aunt Lil) loved spending time with her family especially at the holidays where she made each grandchild their own special dish. She always made time to support and encourage her children and grandchildren in any activity or program they had, reminding them how special they were and that the sky is the limit. Her love for God and children would lead her to teach children in Primary for over 25 years.
