Elisia Maria Russell, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2024 in Syracuse, New York.

Born on May 28, 1987 in Syracuse, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Tonia Russell and John Russell Sr.

Elisia was a proud graduate of Henninger High School. Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, strength, generosity, humor, faith, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Elisia found great joy in crafting with her grandmother, but what bought her most joy was her son Tyquan and she treasured the time she spent with family and friends. Those who knew her will always remember her warm smile, loving heart, resilient spirit, and infectious laughter.

She is survived by her son, Tyquan Butler Jr.; her mother, Tonia Russell; her siblings; John Russell Jr., Keith Tyson II and Tyger Tyson; her grandmother, Annette Butler; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.

Calling hours will be held on March 20th  4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Homes, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205,  where family and friends are invited to gather, pay their respects, and celebrate Elisia’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tyquan Butler Jr. Educational Fund at the Syracuse Fire Department Federal Credit Union.

Though she will be deeply missed, Elisia Russell’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
