Frederick C. Hill

Frederick C. Hill, of Tully, New York, passed away on September 28, 2026, at Upstate Community General Hospital. He was born on March 16, 1940, in Delphi Falls, New York.

Frederick lived a life marked by public service and steady dedication to his work. He served as a police officer in Texas for 10 years, a role that reflected his commitment to duty and community. He later moved to Tully, New York, where he continued his career in public service as a correctional officer at Jamesville Correctional Facility. After 15 years of service there, he retired.

Outside of work, Frederick found happiness in simple pleasures and time spent with those he cared about. He loved having dinners with friends and family, especially at Burger King, and he also enjoyed getting hot dogs and soda at Costco. These familiar outings were part of the everyday moments that brought him comfort and connection.

Frederick was preceded in death by his father, Owen Hill; his mother, Ruth Taisey; and his brother, Robert Hill.

He is survived by his nephew, David Taisey; his friends, Barb Ahearn and Don Thayer; and his beloved companion, Heavenly Scent, his Keeshond. Their presence in his life brought friendship, loyalty, and companionship, and his memory will remain with them always.

Frederick will be remembered for his years of service, his enduring routines, and the companionship he shared with family and friends. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
